Charities Clean Up at Richmond International Raceway's NASCAR Foundation Car Wash for Kids

Nearly 200 fans came out to Richmond International Raceway yesterday for the track’s first NASCAR Foundation Car Wash for Kids. For a $15 donation, guests received a car wash, two paced laps around the track in their vehicle and a NASCAR Unites wristband.

RIR Cares Launching Interactive Exhibit at Children's Museum of Richmond

Richmond International Raceway, through RIR Cares, its donor-advised fund at The NASCAR Foundation, has partnered with the Children’s Museum of Richmond on a new interactive display that will teach kids and adults all about the country’s most popular racing series. The four-piece display launches this Thursday, February 7, at the Chesterfield CMoR location (6629 Lake Harbour Dr., Midlothian, VA 23112, in the Winterpock Shopping Center).

Eight grants totaling $35,000 were awarded to deserving organizations in the Richmond community. This year’s eight grants were the most awarded in the track’s history. RIR Cares is a donor advised fund of The NASCAR Foundation.

In the iconic brown UPS truck, NASCAR driver David Ragan made a special delivery this afternoon in Henrico County, dropping off a truckload of school supplies to Douglas Wilder Middle School. Ragan, UPS and Richmond International Raceway teamed up to participate in the Henrico Education Foundation Schools Supplies Challenge to help local students get ready for the upcoming school year.
