A director since 1987, he serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Brown & Brown, Inc. and has been in the insurance business since 1959. Mr. Brown also serves as a director of Rock Tenn Co., SunTrust, Inc., SCPIE, Inc., BellSouth Corporation, and FPL Group, Inc.
